Cal Flyn Talk

We were delighted to welcome the author of Islands of Abandonment: Life in the Post-Human Landscape on 17 August. Cal and Jane in conversation, touched on many subjects about our relationship with our precious planet, which we are all processing in these changing times. It was a full house.

In her much acclaimed, award-winning non-fiction book Cal Flyn explores what remains behind after the humans have desecrated a landscape. From Chernobyl to an uninhabited Scottish island her investigations bring back stories of tragedy and hope.

This event was partnered with the showing of the new 2 part film work ‘mine’ by photographer/filmmaker Jane Brettle in collaboration with musician Robin Mason.
