Everyone welcome
From the Ground brings together the work of artists Martha Ellis and
Susie Wright in a celebration of plants and the quiet beauty found
in the natural world. Drawings, prints, sculptural works and ceramics
invite us to pause and reconsider the everyday plants and flowers we so
often pass by without a second thought.
Martha and Susie both work from Albion Studios in north Edinburgh. Martha has contributed to Mote’s seasonal pop-up shop Made by Hand since its inception 3 years ago and also designed and made the shop’s wonderful front door gate.
It’s a pleasure to have two artists come together on the subject of nature, particularly at a time when the deadly, worrying effects of climate change are being felt by dandelion and human alike.
