Voices on the Road

A special preview of a new short documentary premiered at the Royal Geographic Society 9 November 2019. The evening included a talk by Edinburgh-based co-director Eilidh Munro about the making of the film.

In the remote Peruvian Amazon, a road is quietly destroying a protected rainforest, cutting through a UNESCO World Heritage Site, causing conflict and fear. But for some indigenous communities, desperate for change, it is also bringing hope. Many people are struggling to live in this paradise’ and the road brings promise of a better life. At what cost?
